The Derbyshire Advocacy Service has been established since 1989. It provides an Advocacy and Appropriate Adult Service for vulnerable adults  within Derbyshire.  It also provides the Derbyshire IMCA Service in a joint venture with Derby MIND. 

 Derbyshire Advocacy Service is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee which receives significant support from  Health, Derbyshire County Council, Derby city Council  and  Derbyshire Constabulary.

Staff are responsible to the Derbyshire Advocacy Service Management Board of Directors. 

 If you join the Derbyshire Advocacy Service as a member you have the right to attend all  General Meetings, and vote for the Management board.  You will be sent information about the Annual General Meeting beforehand.

 Cost of membership;

Individual membership  £1 per annum

 Corporate membership  £5 per annum
